GPS Antenna Cable routing
Dear D2 forum
I installed a new head unit with a navigation system. I placed the gps antenna inside the vehicle between the center of the dashboard and the windshield. For the most part, the GPS works but intermittently the unit displays the error message "GPS signal lost".
The radio manufacturer says because the slope of the windshield of the Land Rover is steep, the roof may be blocking the GPS signal and recommends that I place the gps antenna on the roof.
So how do I route the gps antenna from the dashboard to the roof of the car? Because the cable is only 10' long, my preference would be from the dashboard through the driver's pillar then to the roof. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Al
