Default GPS Unit

Hello, I have just become a Land Rover owner, it is a used 2004 Discovery. I bought it and the bank I used to finance wanted a GPS unit installed. The dealership set it all up and some guy came and put it in. My question is could this GPS unit cause problems to the vehicle. I know that this vehicle is mostly electronic and so I am not sure what to expect. If you could give me any information on the matter that would be great. Thank You, Trevor Smith

Why would your bank want a GPS unit in it? As far as it hurting anything. They came factory with GPS, so no it would not hurt it.

In case of a repossession, they could find it with ease if a recovery were necessary. So basically, they're installing a Lojack on the car. To answer the OP question, no harm will be done to your vehicle.
