Grab a cuppa joe -- this is long . . .

Hi, Mike -- only issue per se to pop up thus far is the amigos coming on from time to time. If you can tell me how to get the stupid amigos to come on to get the codes pulled, that would be great.
Actually, it seems that a hard corner might do it, but I don't wanna risk screwing up anything. My understanding is you can only get the codes when the amigos come on, right?
Any help is most appreciated!

Do your brakes squeak, have lot of brake dust on the wheels or anything like that?
First, you should try and find a local shop that has a scanner able to read your codes when they are on. If you try some hard stopping, that may change you from intermenent lights to having them on full time. Before you then go to the shop, test your ABS by doing a couple of slightly harder then normal stops on a loose surface, if your ABS still pulsates thru the brake pedal, this is a good sign.
Then go to the shop, have them read and record the code faults, clear the codes and go drive it for a few days, if the lights come backthen you will know for sure it is time to throw some money at it.
So are you going to be doing the service on your truck, should consider it, will save you an easy $600 in labor and I would be glad to walk you thru my list.

Thanks for the info, Landzu! I'll check into them. I'll also look into Texas Rovers. I don't do any off-roading, although I would like to learn more about the sport. I pretty much needed a truck in which I could haul my dogs and stuff and have room. BUT, I am certainly interested in learning how to drive on backwoods trails and the like.

My brakes aren't squeaking, but I did notice a lot of brake dust on the wheels. I'll test my ABS before taking the codes to get read. I'll try and get the codes done tomorrow and follow your suggestions. It is my intent to do as much of the labor as I can with the tools I have to work with and my limited LR knowledge base. I'll let you know how things turn out. Thanks for your help!
