Great AT tire for stock DII with 18's
Over the last six months I have been researching tire choices for the stock suspemnsion DII without a lift. It is my daily driver and I take it off-road about once a month on some trails thorugh PA game lands or some of the few forest roads we have in Ohio. I was looking for a capable AT tire that would also do well in snow. I was originally looking at the General Grabber AT2 in 255/60 R18 but it was one of the Grabber line that for some reason is not rated for severe snow. I finally settled on the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor in 265/60 R18.
It is slightly larger than the factory tire at 30.5" instead of 29" but I havent had any rubbing at full lock on pavement or on a mild trail. I haven't had it at full flex yet but it appears to have plenty of clearance. The tire has plenty of excellent reviews for both on and off road driving and it is rated for severe snow. I dont have a whole lot of miles on it yet but so far I think it is a great option. I will report back again in a few months. I know I have seen plenty of threads questioning what the best tire is for stock suspension DII so I figured I wold chime in with my experience.
The truck looks much better with a proper AT tire compared to the crappy Hankook AS tires that came with it.

It just fits on the spare tire carrier with a slight rub on the bumper, I have a re-locator kit on order anyway.
Regards,
Mike
