Default Grinding noise on left front wheel area on sloppy roads?

Hi guys,
noticed a grinding noise on left front wheel area that happens only when going on a sloppy road... some facts that may help you identify it:

- it's acceleration independent
- doesn't stop if I press the brakes
- doesn't happen on smooth roads/tarmac

any clues?

thanks

Are you sure it's not your Traction Control kicking in?

Pretty sure it's not the tc... Picture a cobblestone road. That's the kind of road that triggers this noise... Pretty noticeable on slow speeds..

I would definitely take the wheel off and start searching for anything visually or physically suspect starting with pads, caliper, wheel speed sensor, hub and CV joint, while waiting for advice. You don't have any cluster lights or codes that may be related?

Sounds like a CV joint about to fail.
