Real men drive Landrovers, wanna-be men drive Hummers. Why doesn't you step up to the plate and show those podunks something about a REAL truck?

Oh don't you worry!! Nothing peeved them off more than having to call me come pull them out of snow drifts when snow plows would nudge them off on these smaller country roads!! It completely irritated to have this little southern girl hop out, hook up to their truck, and pull them out!! It was the most fun ever. Whenever it snows really deep , people are afraid to take their "trucks" down the unpaved hilly roads. Not me, I go around them and pave the way!! Like I said I will NEVER own anything but a LR!

Well, right now I live in Kansas City, MO - trying to get hubby to move ( he's from here - so he thinks it's great) [:'(] I am originally from S. Louisiana, my family now lives in Shreveport, Louisiana. I went to school at University of Texas - I miss both LA and TX dearly!! I spend quite a bit of time driving to both places as I am not a big fan of Kansas City. Not very friendly!! My children both prefer the South as well. I grew up in a large extended family ( all boys) so that's where the love of outdoors comes from!!

That's a hilarious picture!!! I have started an epidemic around here! More people I know are starting to get Discos after running around in mine with me!! It truly is an affliction!! I will have to say that I am still in the minority around here in owning one because all the recent buyers are men!!

You guys and gals are joking --- right. Why would you off road this vehicle. I have leather interior with suede arm rests. My amigo when I was done off roading I would hose down including the interior. I bought "monty the rover" for all the right reasons look at me I am driving a rover.

Geez, enjoy getting groceries.

US J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Survey for 2005 (published 8th July 2005) places the Land Rover marque last (Kia second last). This is the fourth year that it has been in the last or second to last place in the survey. This study was based on responses from more than 55,000 US based original owners of 2000 model year cars and light trucks at three years of ownership. [2] In 2004, it narrowly dethroned Kia, as the least reliable nameplate, but swapped places in 2005. (Kia last, Land Rover 2nd las

I only drive what J-D Powers don't like!!
Land Rover and VW.

Had a Isuzu Trooper J-D Powers don't like them either so I only had it for 16 years.
People kept mistaking it for a old Land Rover had some one give me a lot of money for it.
Then got a LR and thats why I go by Landzu.

yup! owned an amigo and sold it for $500 with the locking hubs and in great shape with 170K paid $2000 for it orginally and drove it all over including moab. The head went out once and the tranny. I would never get groceries with it. I have to much pride.

It did not have power anything but it was a gas. The head and tranny work cost me less than a $800 and I fixed them in my garage. Owned it for about 5 years. My latest with the rover at the dealer was need brakes and rotors becuase they are not our brakes and rotors $1300 and your winky valve is out so that will be another $2300. I tried to tell him I just get groceries with this how could the winky vavle be bad?

Having fun
