Guess The Leak
Quite a simple question, I have a leaking transfer case, where does this leak appear to be coming from? Simply the bottom plate?
Front Looking Rearward

Rear Looking Forward

Front Of Case Above Exhaust

Looking Upward

Also, while we're on the subject. I also have a leak coming from between the engine and transmission as you can see in the pictures below. Fortunately the leak doesn't appear that bad, but unfortunately I assume this one will be difficult to fix. A portion of the cooler lines are also wet, as you can see in the second picture.

Well, you have a healthy Rover judging from the red mud, oil from multiple locations, and a clean zerk fitting on the drive shaft (lol).
The bottom plate can be quite a leaker, one reason is that the bolt holes are drilled all the way through the flange. The drain is of course a delicate little item with a magnetic tip. When I dropped my inspection plate I recall having to take a heat shield loose to get at the upper bolts, but that just may be the length of my extension. It uses sealant instead of a conventional gasket.
It is not hard but a pair of ramps help.
As to tranny cooler lines - if it is coming from up front could be from near the tranny cooler. If not red, but oil, could also be a number of things, including valve covers dripping down on it.

I would start with the inspection plate but it could very well be the seal to the drive shaft too. I think you need to get some engine degreaser and clean that sucker up. I've never seen a t-case that dirty in my life lol.
For your second leak. Remove the inspection plate on the bottom of the bell housing and look in. If its coming down the back of the block, its a rear main. It its coming down the front software the franking, its the front pump leaking. Brake clean everything and drive it for a day. Then check it.
I just resealed everything on my Transfer case... side inspection plate on the front output. As a tip I would add RTV to the threads and below heads on the large inspection plate. Worse case you would need to remove your front output housing and reseal that. Then your rear if you feel diligent. Its a lot of work but mine no longer leaks. I did all them when i installed my front output for the CDL install.
