I need some help and advice...2000 Disco..88K ..just dropped a bundle on major brake and sensor work...was all good...for two days...out last night and SERVICE ENGINE light came on....also started to hear a loud thumping noise from the rear...along with this she is now rocking from side to side when I slow down...????? no issues over 35 mph but slow at an intersection and thump and rock...H E L P

 

Drive it very carfeully back to how ever did the brakes and have them fix it. Did they use factory parts or aftermarket?

So you think it's a break issue??? I don't have the brakes applied when it happens..it will do it at a slow roll...

 

Did this happen before you had the shop work on it, if so take it back to them.

You may have a seperated tire somewhere that creates the rocking motion. When you get at speed then it creates it's own vibration and would not be as noticeable. That or one of your wheels was not put on staright and creates the wobble. I am just throwing things out but they may be worth a try.

 

Double check to make sure that they didn't forget to tighten the lug nuts on one of the wheels.

check the lug nut's then the swaybar link's link's will cause this issue verbatem

 

If you are not familiiar with your truck, get it into a shop ASAP and have a mechanic check it before someone gets hurt.

Well guys I have the answer....took some time and did some research ..there are two hydralic stablizers mounted to the front and rear ....the bushings were missing so they kept trying to work with no resistance...got those replaced and all is good

 

Are you talking about shock bushings or the bushings on your ACE rams?
