Default Had a misfire on Cyl #3…

…so I replaced the plugs, wires, coil packs, and injectors. Runs amazing! All the plugs looked decent and I didn’t see anything obviously wrong with the wires or injectors. Super shotgun approach, but I’ll reuse everything on the new build. Cleaned things up a little too. Not bad for 270K - if I do say so myself!

Thanks guys. She saw off road duty once in the past - had to pull over on to the unpaved highway soft shoulder for a flat about 10 years ago...

Default Misfire is back...

Again on #3. One and only fault code. It throws the code upon first start up in the morning, slight stutter, then runs smooth (much smother now with all the re-work). I have noticed my coolant tank seems over pressurized. Doesn't seem to be consuming coolant, but the coolant tank gets pressurized right after start up. I'm leaning towards speeding up my new build and just replacing the motor instead of trying to troubleshoot this.

Just a shot in the dark but a misfire like that could be caused by coolant leaking into cylinder 3 after you shut the engine down, then remaining until restart. at restart it fouls the plug and quickly burns off.

Just a guess but worth using a boroscope to look into three when it is cooled off for any signs of coolant or a wet plug.

That's what I'm thinking. Old plug looked fine when I pulled it, but that was after the truck had sit for a few days - coolant could have dried out. Weird thing is, I don't seem to be losing coolant, but the pressure in the coolant system has me wondering. Already started to order stuff for the rebuild from Rimmer Bros...
