Are you going to tell us why? Maybe you just like taking things apart?

Well here it goes for the 3rd time....

2000 Disco 2 110K on the clock bone stock no 3 amigos

This is going to be a full on trail/rock rig with street driving to the minimum.

Ordered the Terrafirma 3" lift kit with +3" shocks

I'm taking this truck all the way, which is gonna in tale a shiz load of cheese and a few bloody knuckles but Im game!!

Started with a full service... pretty much everything you can think of that needed to be changed out was... oils, fluids, front rear shafts, valve cover gaskets, magnicor wires and NGK plat plugs (I swear by these), belts, water pump and thermostat, radiator was done by previous owner, new Exide battery (cheapy till duel odyssey batteries), torque program for my Galaxy 3s, anyways you get the idea... she runs great. Oh CDL out of a D1 installed, with that silly solenoid removed grrrrrr!!!!

Plans are as follows

After many searches and a lot of homework Im building front and rear bumpers, sliders, duel Jerry can holder attached to a swinging tire holder, all my skid plates and dif guards. Gonna craft HD steeing linkages and greasable tie rod ends, tuck my steering stabilizer up a little more, make my own front shock towers, spring retainers, adjustable pan hard bar, extended watts link, radius arms, will be buying tons more, roof rack, 6 Hella lights, Warn winch 9000 lbs., also installing Baja XRS Off-Road Suspension Seats, slide out rear storage lockable, front safe, and so on.... again you get the idea. Lots to do... plan on wheeling her at THE WILDS on Fathers Day in southern Ohio so I have to get busy.

This will be a great journey taking this already very capable truck to monster, but Im up for it.

This will be my build journal so look for updates daily....

Constructive criticism welcomed and encouraged.

Here we goooooo!!!!!!!!

As it sits today

Looks like we have the same taste in cars mudmouth. I too have an e39 but only the 530 sport.(less gas and maintanence with the i6) I'm sure that blown v8 is a blast though.

Very nice!!! Ya I've always loved cars that cost a fortune to own....
I know a dude that has a 530i turbo'd and that thing will smoke just about every car it comes across.... its a pretty reasonably priced kit.

Yes I know it looks crooked, I elongated the holes in the mount to allow for some adjustment of the bumper once its all put together.

Picked these up the other day

Planning on making a larger base for the Hi-Lift and buying a few accessories for it as well.
Cans are from Harbor, just ordered the better lids and spouts so no leaks!!

This is my welder I'll be using for mock up and most of the welding. I have a Lincoln 180 mig for all the rest.
