Default Half my windshield defrosts?

I see there are two plugs under the hood, so I'm assuming they are powered on each side. why don't I have power to the drivers side? when I hit it the passenger side clears instantly

I would try cleaning the plugs on both sides of windscreen ,then check fuses, relays.

Bad relay or bad heating elements in the windshield, maybe they got damaged somehow?

There is just one heated windscreen relay, R8 in the under hood box. But since there is just one, that's probably not your issue.

F7 is the left side fuse and F8 is the right.

X2 with above, and each heated front screen has a different ground. With the ground loose you won't have heat on one side, even if fuse is OK. Since one clears, the relay is OK. Meter across both wires in plug to see if you have battery voltage. Ground comes from a header where other things find ground as well.

Stone chip on one side will kill that side element, very common with most vehicles.

I have a crack right behind the review mirror. I assumed because of that i wouldn't have a windshield heater at all, but where the largest part of the crack is the heater works just fine. I'll check everything and if it all checks out I'll assume nit' just the crack... crappy part is the passenger side clears...

Also replacement generic glass frequently comes with elements, my Kia van needed new glass and it came as the heated version, installed $240.
