Default Handbrake indicator dim while driving...

I've been working on the 96 Discovery I just bought. Mostly just cleaning and changing fluids.

A few days after I did the oil and transmission, I noticed the handbrake dash light is on, but dim. If I tug on the hand brake, it lights up bright and normal.

It's not always on...but most of the time. I read about the handbrake being a tranny brake.. could it be something to do with transmission fluid? I'll check all the fluid levels tonight. Just wondered if anyone had seen this before.

Keep on keepin' on.

It will also come on when your brake fluid is low. Try topping off your brake fluid.

I would bet that the bulb is not seated fully and the dim light is coming from somewhere else.
