Default Happy Easter Ladies and Gentlemen!

Anybody going to get some wheeling in on this beautiful Easter Sunday?

Sadly I won't. My disco is currently sitting with open headers and waiting on the money for a new radiator. Somebody have some fun for me, would ya?

I saw your post. Mine is leaking from the same corner of the rad, Down in the screw hole. I'm debating on just packing the hole with epoxy and seeing if it will hold for a while since I don't get to drive it much any more since it doesn't have tags or insurance right now.

Hope everybody has a happy n blessed Easter Easter. Mine is running but I'm dealing with an intermittent issue with the rear sunroof. It opens fine but the dang thing that doesn't want to close. Driving me bonkers.

I once drove 10k miles with some RTV down that hole where the screw goes into the plastic radiator housing. you have to watch it carefully. Clean the area real well first so you immediately see any sign of leakage. For good measure I put some locktite on the tip of the screw when i put it back in as well. Good luck!

BTW that happens when someone uses the wrong (longer) screw in that hole, if you put the longer screw in there it will pierce the top of the rad.

That small leak can stay forever. It looses coolant only when it pass the level of the leak and stayed on same level for long period of time. that was my case. But its getting hotter and temp is rising, I thought radiator is clogged. 1st owner used a lot of that stop leak and still dealing with it slowly as I change parts.
BUT, it was not the radiator, it was the fan touching the shroud stopping the fan to push air. that is why the 1st owner cant figure out what caused the high temperature before and sold the disco. I never used the truck for the past 2 summers already because of the same mystery. When the hood is up it releases the shroud from the fan so every time I see it running and no problem at all unless I close the hood. Winter, no problem at all only when outside temp is 80 degrees and reach critical temp in traffic.
Mystery solved.

I had that issue with the front and it ended up being the little controller that's under the headliner in the front. Sucks to change because you have to drop the headliner, but a replacement should fix you right up if I had to guess.

Yea, I've had RTV in it for some time. My issue is that both screws are too long since I have an electric fan and therefore no factory shroud for the screw to hold. Thanks!

My problem is that the truck sits most of the time so it allows a big air bubble into the upper hose. I learned this last weekend when I decided to let her idle for a while and she hit 260 degrees before I saw it. I'm not about to bleed the d*mn thing every time I want to drive it. Hopefully I don't have any head gasket issues because of that. It only idled hot for probably 5 minutes so hopefully it's ok. I guess we'll see how well those cheap eBay head gaskets hold up.

Happy Easter Ladies and Gentlemen!

And a very happy Easter to you Alex.

I'm wheeling this week, 2000 miles return trip of highway plus a ferry to the UK for a vacation break, hope the weather is good there though. We are heading to a place near Chippenham in Wiltshire for some walking and pubs, I like pubs and proper flat beer and then to Chichester in West Sussex to see old friends and family with more pubs and flat beer .

I'm afraid I don't go along with any ecclesiastical indulgences like Easter me being an atheist and all that but I hope you guys enjoy yourselves in every respect.

I don't like chocolate eggs anyways
