Default Hard Starts after plugs and wires

I just finished replacing the plugs and wires last night on my 01' D2 with 100k, but since then it has had some starting issues (Sometimes starts normal, then sometimes takes up to the fifth crank with CEL on when cranking and turning off as soon as it starts - there seems to be no specific correlation for when I turn the key on for three seconds three times to prime the fuel pump and it starting). Even after running, there is a very slight roughness in the idling.

Before I changed the plugs and wires I was getting a P0304 misfire code and some VERY rough starting, occasionally not starting at all. The STI's and E034's (? - Whatever Mike recommended) seemed to remedy the majority of the issues, but not all. Any ideas?

I will get the codes read soon, probly tomorrow or Sunday.

Check fuel pressure - pump, regulator, and filter are one unit in the tank.

So I just got the codes read, it looks like a P0304 (which was the same cylinder that was misfiring prior to the new plugs and wires) and a P0300 general misfire. I will check fuel pressure now.

But since it was the same codes as before the wires, it makes sense that it is most likely not an electrical issue with the wires or plugs, as in I installed them wrong or dirtied up the terminals on my wires right before installing, correct?

Ok, I must be utterly blind because I can't find the fuel pressure schrader valve for the life of me. I get that it's on the front of the passenger side fuel rail, but isn't that underneath my IM? It doesn't seem like I should have to remove my alternator or IM to do this, but I can't find anything! Sorry for my idiocy...

Ok, So I finally was able to check the fuel pressure. For some reason I can't get my gauge to form a tight seal, so I don't actually get a pressure reading, but fuel does squirt out pretty well when I push on the nipple on the schrader valve.

However, I still have certain times when the engine won't turn over. It seems to be more fuel related. Like the pressure isn't always there. Could this be a filter issue?

Or, it almost seems like sometimes the fuel pump works, and sometimes it doesn't. What could be causing that? ...What else besides bad wiring?

If it could be related, my engine seems to be running a little more rough at the beginning and then will smooth out.

Ideas?
I just changed the plugs and wires 5 days ago.

More likely pump or plug for pump. But there is a fuel pump relay, more connections, and the inertia switch. The ground for the pump circuit is under the hood, might check that as well. Near fuse box, several black cables bonded to metal studs. Might check with Paul Grant for one, or consider the Airtex pump only to replace insides of what you have.
