Harmon Kardon sound system

2000 Disco 2 with stereo issues, crackling in driver / passenger door speakers. Might be ground issue but possibly funky amplifier (XQK000050) saw a few on eBay but might bypass amp. Anyone know where the amp lives in the vehicle and have had similar sound system issues?

Under the drivers seat mounted above the Transmission ECU.

This will sound silly, it is it the mids in the doors (the upper smaller ones)? I took the grate off my passenger as it was crackling a bit and just cycled it by hand a few times. No more crackling. I figure it’s just a bad connection in the speaker. I’ll replace them at some point I guess...
