Default Having horn issue plz help

I have a 2000 land rover disco 2 for almost a year and recently been having to put a lot work into it. Im having an issue with my horns currently and need to get a new inspection sticker but cant pass inspection with out working horns.
When i first bought it, both sunroofs leaked and I fixed those and put a dehumidifier in it for a couple days. That was the only issue with it when I first got it (10 months ago). However, it's been like one thing after the other with this vehicle. Few months ago the power steering had a leak. Wound up replacing the power steering pressure hose. Great. Then it started dying on me whenever I would come to a complete stop sometimes, and I would have to wait a couple minutes before the engine would turn over. Service engine light was on so i checked with diagnistic and gave codes to reolace 02 sensors. I replaced the O2 sensors and that didn't work, then the fuel pump, and then crankshaft position sensor (it was the sensor). Also replaced master cylinder because the reservoir tank was leaking at the rubber washers which were dry rotted.
my current issue is that my horns aren't working. At first, I thought that it might have been because I kind of rear-ended my other vehicle in the driveway (thats how i found out my master cylinder needed to be replaced lol). So I pulled the horns off my other vehicle and hooked them up to the land rover. They worked for like a few seconds and then stopped working. The fuse in the fuse box under the hood was blown as well. Just to be sure, I hooked the horns back up the other vehicle and they wouldn't work anymore. So, somehow, my land rover is frying my horns. So I know it wasn't from rear ending the other car.
I did just replace CD player head unit with a dvd/CD unit and am thinking maybe that has something to do with it. It has steering wheel controls for volume up and down and song skipping. When i installed the new unit, I didn't hook up steering wheel controls. Maybe I screwed up wiring during the install and it is causing it to get my horns? I just replaced the horn buttons before I replaced the new head unit so I know the horns were working before I installed the new CD player, but never tried using the horn after I installed the new unit. Does this sound like a possibility? I'm getting new horns and will do some more trouble shooting tomorrow. There is a ground wire for the steering wheel controls and am thinking, maybe not having that hooked up is causing the horns to fry? Any help or input is welcome! Thanks in advance

Default horns

its a fairly simple system, here is the wiring diagram. its probably short to ground on one of the two feed lines to the horns from the relay in the fuse box, or a bad horn shorting internaly. will it still blow the fuse with both horns disconnected?
