Question head bolts

I was just wondering when LR went to the torque stretch head bolts. This is a problem for me and I was just wondering if any other solutions exist ie; stud kits. With head gaskets being a known problem it seems that a bolt that is designed to stretch is a really bad idea. I just got on ARP's site and didn't see anything. They don't open for a couple hours so I am unable to find out if they can help me. Any input would be greatly appreciated. BTW 2001 DII at 90k so I am probably getting close.

If you are wondering about head bolts for D2's, yes they all have the new style stretch bolts.

The head problem isn't with the bolts, it is the design of the engine, AL block with steel liners, and the gaskets used to have a steel ring, but are now a composite material. All of the heating and expansion with dis-similar metals caused gaps over time. Trust me, for this very reason, you want to have the stretch bolts, or you will warp your heads.
