Totally. I think there is some bits in the second vid which don't really apply to doing the HG -- the trans lines i think. They have another vid about actually installing a new block, so i think those parts in the film are part of that video.
I keep telling myself that this is just a big lego car and I'm taking bits off and then putting them back on.

When I did mine, made a kind of punch list based on the P38 blog and Rave. Helped me to think through it and put down on paper that its just a step by step process. Even with busting a headbolt, a few times putting things in wrong or in wrong order, dropped nuts, bolts and tools, and tons of time for cleaning parts, had the whole job done in the course of 2 weekends. Very doable.

Decided on ARP Studs. Lucky 8 will take my other bolts back. I was originally going to paint the intakes beige and Valve covers Dark Green, but I am going to skip the beige and have the machine shop paint them aluminum color and clearcoat a couple of times. The bare metal really collects dirt, and they will match the block and oil pan. I am going to refurbish and paint the Coolant pipes in orange engine paint with clear. Also, going to switch all of the hose clamps to the screw on type. Will inspect all hoses as I go.
I am going to get Permatex Hi-Tack after watching AB's video. Great idea, and I can see that the shop that did my valve covers did not.
