I think you NEED the tornado ecu flash.

That way, you can tell us if it's any good, before we spend our money, lol.

I think it is probably money more well spent than gas flowing the heads. I was in for a few hundred on that job, but not $600. In the future I may go with new RPI Engineering cylinder heads if I feel the need.

A good ecu flash has the potential to give similiar gains to port and bowl work on heads.
Ballpark 15-20 hp gains are possible with either.
On a Land Rover, who knows.
With an ecu flash, an extra mpg, or actual noticeable power increase is always hoped for, but not always achieved.
Which is why You should drink the koolaide first.
Tell us if it's any good.

What sockets is everyone using to get the head bolts off? Do I need a set of the 6 point long sockets? Should they be impact?

I don't think you need the long 12pt socket -- you arent removing a nut off of a long threaded stud afterall.

used one of those Ebay kits with filters and o rings. Maybe give one of those recon sets a try, prices aren't that high, wish I would have seen that when doing mine.

A shallow, swivel (I think 16mm) socket makes it easy to get the 2 rear, lower head bolts out.
A regular socket and u-joint together are too long.
There's not alot of room at the firewall.

used a HF swivel impact set. Worth the small investment.

IIRC, with a 1/2 ratchet and cheater pipe.
