Head Gasket or other?
Not so sure about that...
What's the charge for having your fingers and toes removed...after getting 4th degree frostbite...lol.
Briwn.

Well...extension cord, heater under the tarp you drape over your engine bay, seal the tarp to the truck with masking tape. Makes it real...REAL warm. You can even prop up the tarp with some broom handles. I got that T-shirt.
Good news! Was just reading up on frosebite. Most times, autoamputation happens...so no cost involved. So, have at it. No guts, no glory!
We were suppose to see some relief today, but it has been delayed. It's darn cold out.

Easy to do under your shade tree paradise. Not so much for those living in an apartment in Ballard or other locals.
For those apartment dwellers lucky enough to have a parking lot and able to slide under the radars, in warm weather it might work. Doing repairs on a street may result in additional health care expenses if mugged or the vehicle gets rear ended while under the hood.
Conserving funds (being thrifty) is not the most important priority for some D2 owners and some even live in areas sans hills.

If youre thrifty...you own a Rover? Hmmmmm seems like messed up priorities, there are much less affordable vehicles out there that have cheaper parts and get better gas mileage.
This is why I ask people...can you work on your own truck? If they say no, then I tell them NOT to buy a Rover.
I had an e-5 few years ago want a range Rover, I told him, expect to constantly be under the hood, and pay for parts. He bought it...and flushed thousands down the drain, he hated working on it but constantly paid the dealer...it ran him into the ground.
Enough of the thread jack already. My brother has a full shop with ceiling crane and every tool except a lift. I do as much work there as I can to save for emergency situations. Thus I can afford emergency situations when that garage is not available.
I tell people who want to buy a Rover to plan on $2k a year maintenance. If they don't spend it all one year, they will the next.
The only two things that change that rule are if you can do your own work and if your wallet has a few bitcoin in it.
