Hello there allow me to introduce myself, Carlos from az I've owned my disco2 99 for about a year. I've done pretty much anything that needed to be replaced or swapped out I've done it, although there's still some things on the checklist to do anyhow I have a question I bought a ps pump but it's from an 03-04 and it won't quite fit in the bracket,is there anyway I can maybe modify it to fit ? Or just buy the rite one?? Thx for your help and for listening..

Buy the right pump mate.

 

There are two small bushings in the front of the bracket, When the bolts are tightened they move back to take up the clearance with the pump. You can move them forward with a pair of pliers or a hammer, the pump will fit right in.
