So I completed the Head Gaskets on my 2004 DII last weekend and then took it in for an exhaust leak and two new CATS = $$. It had the exhaust leak when I bought it so have just dealt with it for the last few months. I must say I either still have an exhaust leak or these things just make more noise then the norm. Seems like I have a very light valve tick but had the heads and valve train redone while it was all out so dont know what is up there? I was told it would go away with some miles put on it. The only real issue I had was the new belt squeeled like crazy so I put the old one back on to find it wanted to jump a tooth back on the AC pully making all kinds of noise. I took the idler pully off and shimmed it out with a flat washer and problem solved but the belt still seems to ride a bit futher back then it should. I will try it with the new belt again since I shimmed it to see what happens. We drove it over 600 miles round trip over the Christmas Holiday and everything seems good besides the belt mishap. Any suggestions on the belt issue?
