Default Head lights, bulbs

So we all know D2's burn thru bulbs... I replaced with the sylvania H7, purple package, i forget which, and they lasted about a year. first one died and then less than a week later the second one burned out. I replaced them with the cheaper, longer lasting sylvania H7 in the light blue package. i always have spare bulbs in the truck now

is the fix difficult? too much voltage to the bulbs right? any link to a possible fix?

thanks
scott

If you installed the silverstars, then 1 year is about average. The silverstar bulbs burn hotter than a standard bulb. Since the burn hotter they have a shorter life. That is the trade off.

I have never had an issue with bulbs.

D2 don't burn through bulbs fast. I've replaced exactly one build on my 2003 (they use 4) and zero bulbs in my 1999 in the years that I owned them.
