Default headlamps?

ok im tired of the poopy stock headlights on my 2000 disco II. suggestions? im not opposed to swapping them out for a set of the 03(?) headlights .

You can't just swap them out ('03-'04), or most people would have done that. There's a lot of fab work, ~16 hours worth, that has to be done to get them to fit. If you want to see what's involved try looking at this write-up first.

You could do a HID upgrade.
If you do swap headlights with a '03 for example if you get into a accident the insurance company wont cover the new lamps.
Just something to consider.

ok, so im not going to spend 16 hours of my time changing headlights (i could use that time drinking or off roading my rover! ) anyway, what do you guys recommend as a drop in replacement? im not worried if they 'bright' fellow motorist or are not legal in my area - im mostly concerned that they let me see better at night.

I installed a set of Sylvania SilverStar H4's a few months ago and have been happy with their performance.
