Default headlight bulb replacement

Tonight while driving I noticed that my headlight bulb had gone out, with a 96 landrover do you just replace the bulb or the whole headlight itself? I know that with my blazer the entire headlight is replaced. If it is just a bulb what size do I need and how do I go about replacing it. It is a 96 discovery drivers side light thank you in advance

It's just the bulb.

Don't know the part number for the headlight, but any auto part store will have the booklet to tell you the right one, it's 3-pronged.

Just unplug the harness from the bulb, remove the rubber sleeve, twist the bulb out, and replace with a fresh bulb and reinstall everything reverse.

Rotate the three retaining clips to align with slots in headlight mounting plate. Then just pull the light assembly out.then get yourself a pair of 9003SU Silverstar ULTRAs

DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS>>> it will burn out fast if you get oil from your skin on it.

GOOD POINT. I ignored this once and burnt out a new set in less than 2 weeks
