Are the glass headlights wired direct or do they have an inline relay?
I never bothered to look...but glass headlights without a relay can be made brighter...just a thought. Depends on if there's a relay between the switch and how the headlights get their power.

I think they are relayed, at least I recall seeing a few headlight symbols when poking around in the interior fuse box. But if I was wrong, I totally agree that relating them can make them brighter — did that on my old VW and made a huge difference👌🏻

I suppose I could amp them and see if the wattage flowing is near the watts of the bulb.

reviving the old thread... does anyone have that tutorial on how to convert the front end? Link does not work anymore. I've got all the parts, just need to know where and how much to cut. Grille is no biggie, bumper as well, headlights is the main issue here.
