I have the headliner material for my 1995 Discovery I. What adhesive should I use?

I have read here and other places that you want to use 3m HD. It will say on the lable for heavy Duty Headliner applications. The Walmart and Advance Auto in our town both stock it.

Where did you get the matterial? I have to do my 99 discoII

X2 on the 3M adhesive. Did you make sure your material was wide enough? They don't use standard material. Oh, and just a side note, make sure and spray the fabric and the backer with adhesive. Mine took 2 cans....

Jamie, just find a local upholstery supply shop. Tell them it is for a Disco. It needs to be wide enough...

Just in case you were wondering, this is how mine turned out. I have a black truck and for the frist year, I had nothing. Just metal up there. I got used to the dark color, so thought I would do it different. Black headliner....
