Default headliner cleaning

I had the famous "A" pillar leak and just got around to fixing it. Now there is a stain in that area of the headliner due to the dirty water leaking in. Anyone had success with any particular product/method of cleaning theirs?

My wife used Resolve carpet cleaner on the floor of the Volvo wagon that we just bought with good luck.
Not sure how well it would work on your headliner though.

The thing about cleaning the headliner is you have to clean the entire thing, if you clean one spot it will look cleaner and brighter than the rest...

...As for cleaning it, some sort of a VERY mild soapy solution sprayed on just one spot, use a shop vac to remove the solution, then spray just a small amount of water to rinse it off. Let it dry and see how it turns out before you try and clean the whole area. BE VERY careful a strong soap will ruin your headliner!

Very very mild soap. It will eat the foam and droop.

Cool, thanks. I'll try the spot cleaning first, worst comes to worst the whole thing gets cleaned.

Leave you windows open and don't douse the cleaner on. Do it as light as possible. My buddy threw wet camping gear in the back of his truck and in the morning, his headliner has completely fallen down.

Turtle wax 'power out' foam carpet cleaner works great. In order to limit spot showing, spray some of it on a semi-wet rag and do the rest of the headliner.
