I sprayed our liner yesterday using the texture paint in a can, first primed then painted. Also used dynamat to insulate, the results are great.

great job. It inspired me to follow suit. i used a couple of coats of primer, then 3 cans of the texture paint then 3 coats of exterior satin color matched paint. love the results and especially love the ability to touch up any future scuffs.

also used 1"x 12" mending strips (little 1/8" metal pieces) epoxied to the under-side of the weak areas next to rear sunroof. those two areas folded over on removal, but were fine on install.
