Default Heart Transplant!

I have been battling a water disappearing act/issue since I got this 2000 Disco and after two head gasket replacements I figured it has a cracked head or block. I know everyone is going to tell me to pressure test it but I have been wanting to put this 80k drivetran in this car since I got it so here it goes. I plan on going through the top end of this motor since it hasn't been hot but it does have 80k I am going to do some preventative maintenance with gaskets and seals and getting the heads checked. Also new rear main seal, oil pan gasket, front/rear tranny seals, tranny filter/flush and gasket and new gaskets for my t-case while I have it out. This drivetran actually has little oil on it but I figure it is easier on a stand than later when it is tucked into the small cavities they provide us. Cherry picker would not get high enough to pull motor and tranny so I had to improvise! The last picture is of the motor and tranny sitting in front of their new recepient!

That is the all pro method to remove the old engine with a tractor shovel. I like it.

oyster,
Technically I got the motor, tranny, and T-case for free because I bought the whole disco for $900 and I parted little things out here and there from the interior, cats, and bumpers and it paid itself off already. So besides the new gaskets, seals, and head bolts it isn't going to cost me anything but my time. I am looking forward to it though, it should be a learning experience and since I do not need the car I can take my time and make sure everything is done right.
