Default Heated windshield-only half works

My '00 Discovery has the heated windshield as part of the cold weather package, but only the passenger side of the windshield heats up. I have checked the wiring at the driver's side and it gets power when the switch is on. Anyone have any ideas what else to check?

Thanks!!

The element is likey to be "open" circuit. Means a new screen usually.

Mine does this as well leaving a 3-4 inch strip right in front of my line of sight which is very annoying but everyone has told me that, due to the the elements being sandwhiched between the glass, a new windshield is the only option.
