heater core o-rings help

My understanding is that after you remove the squeeze clamps the pipes will come out, but the o-rings could be holding things together tightly so you may have to work the pipes back and forth a bit.
Why are you removing the pipes? Two most common reasons are (1) the engine side of the pipes are damaged and no longer make a good seal to the double hose, or (2) the o-rings are leaking. Leaking o-rings are pretty rare. Sometimes, it appears o-rings are leaking but what actually happens is coolant runs down from the double hose past the double grommet and thru the firewall because of reason (1) above.
If you suspect that is happening go ahead and replace the OEM squeeze clamps on the engine side with a couple of good worm gear hose clamps. If you really crank them down you can make even the most damaged pipes on the engine side seal.
