Default Heavy Duty Bumpers...

Hey all...

Long story short, I got hosed on a front bumper I ordered from Lucky8 and only found out today (after waiting 6 weeks). Now I'm in the market for a new heavy duty front bumper with winch mount etc. Suggestions from you guys on one and keeping it under 1000? Probably needs to be US based because I need to keep shipping at a minimum.

DA5645 is only $465 with shipping from AB if you buy it from the ebay store. Go NutZ!

Yeah - that's going to be my go-to if I can't find something a little more custom. I was hoping to find something with light guards and a grill guard if possible.

Back in February they had their Heavy Duty Bumpers listed on eBay for $888.00, which included shipping. I liked the design of it and so I called them up because I needed a ladder and pillar piece as well. When I spoke with them, I was told the bumper was $888.00 and shipping was included in that cost so I paid/ordered one (as well as the other parts) and got my invoice the same day.

Fast forward to today, the bumper arrived at Lucky8 and they called to let me know it was in; however, they needed an additional $350 to cover the shipping because they had lost money on shipping the others they had sold prior to mine. They were apologetic about it and did say they'd refund my money for the issue, but that they had to charge shipping now if I wanted the bumper I had already paid for. I asked for a refund and now need to find another bumper...hence my question.

That sucks...

I just installed a Tactical 4x4 heavy duty winch bumper on the front of my 04 and absolutely love it. It's a few more $ than $1,000 but in my opinion it's worth it. Also if you have a place you can receive the shipment that has a loading dock they can save you a bit on the cost of shipping.

Eric there was a pleasure to deal with and will treat you right.

I got the terrafirma bumper for around $550 I think its the TF009. It seemed like it was more heavy duty than the AB DA5645, here are a few pics:

This is what I did to my lucky8 bumper to make it a little more custom:

Hmm, these look good. I'm planning on making a front bumper from scratch (to match the homebrew rear) but the DA5645 is tempting.

You could really easily mount a light bar from another application.
