Question Hella LED lights - LR cruise control switch - what wire goes where?

Which wire goes where? I'm installing some Hella 500 LED lights and want to use some old Land Rover switches so I can keep more of a factory look. Ideally, I want the lights to operate with the ignition switch is turned to position 2 and turn off when the key is removed. I have built a fuse box / relay panel so I'm not tapping into the existing fuse boxes. The lights work with the cheap Hella switch that came with the lights.

Separate fuse box, relays and terminal strips

Figure it out, it’s not rocket science. There is a ground, 12v for the light etc.

You must have a multimeter if you assembled a relay/fuse block like that

Saturnine, I do have a multimeter and I did assemble the relay / fuse block. You obviously don't know either. No reason to be snarky.

According to the electrical manual the cruise control switch wiring is this:

Red wire connects to the internal led (illuminating the switch when the headlights are switched on).
Black is ground
Green is connected to the ignition via a fuse
Yellow connects to the BCU

Pressing the button connects yellow to green. So I think you can do this by connecting the yellow wire to your relay and leaving all of the other connections stock.

Thanks for the information! This is the way I had it wired and it wasn't working so its likely that that the switch itself is bad.

Well, like Saturnine said, test it! I don't want to come off as disparaging or anything, but do you know how to use the continuity setting on your multimeter? If not let me know, I can help (seriously, I'm an electronics teacher), its a very easy test. Oh, I like your relay/fuse panel as well- looks very sharp. Where are you putting it?
