Another light to consider is Lightforce. Made in Australia and just plain bright. They use an interchangeable lens system that allows you to tailor the light for precisely what you're doing and the conditions you'll encounter. I have them on my Dodge (Hella Rallye 3000s on the Rover) and I use a blue lens for winter and rainy summer days to give definition in the snow, rain and fog. On clear days when I am driving late at night or just not near anyone I use the standard clear lens and it's pretty much the same as turning on the sun.

I have not had a chance to take both my Dodge and my Rover out somewhere dark and ccompare the lights side by side. My Hella 3000s came with my Rover so I haven't felt a need to upgrade them yet although I did order 100 watt bulbs to replace the standard 55 watt.

I have run Hella lights in the past with good success. Even their cheaper 500 series lights worked well for me.

Coupla nice lookin rigs there! The blue lenses, how do they work in the fog and "during" snow? Amber was what I used in the past because the light they shine does not reflect back (at least at the same rate as white light) from fog and snow - I would run my park lights and the Ambers, leaving the head lights off.

Come early, Stay late, You'll be glad you did

I drove down the interstate in blowing snow with the blue lights and was really impressed. They didn't reflect back and the lines in the road really stood out. Lightforce makes amber, yellow, amber, green, blue and clear lenses to customize the lights. They also have different beam patterns. I use a combo lens that mixes a fog beam and long range driving beam. They work awesome.
