Thanks Buzz for all the help those reference numbers saved the day! I replaced the whole assembly with the dayco 89287. Its not as robust as the oem unit but I will take what I can get. The grinding rattle is gone, glad this thing didnt fail down I-75 somewhere. So, anyone think with the two idler pulleys failing and grinding that could have caused a low voltage situation throwing the 1562 code? Im going to check all the connections I can find right now.I have driven about 20 miles since code cleared on its own and it has not come back yet. thanks again.

If you are still having issues, get your charging system voltage tested under full load. The voltage has to be between 13.6 and 14.4 volts.
And, as for that code, I have checked all six of my Rover fault codes and yours is not one of them.

The ultra gauge said it was a p1562. I have driven 50 miles and is not come back.

That is not the first time an ultra gauge has thrown a non Rover code.
