Default Help!!!!!!!!!

I have a series 2. It started by running for about 2 miles then dying and having to wait then it would start back up. Then one day it just wouldn't start. I replaced the alternator and battery. Then it sat for 2 weeks while I got some more cash together to fix the new issue. The brand new battery was dead. I just took it back and had it replaced. Now iam not getting any spark. Is this due to the previous issue of it only running for two miles then dying? Which I still have figured out and fixed. Could this be the alarm shutting down the motor or is it something else? I am lost and need help so I can get back and forth to work on my own again.

Your crank sensor has failed which is pretty common on a Rover engine at 100,000 plus in the summer time.
