Default Help with 99' Series II.

My service engine light has begun flashing or staying on.
And the vehicle hesitates or misses some.
It has 67,000 miles.

I also notice that I get an odor sometimes. Also some smoke.
Could someone point me in the right direction on what to look at?

Also I had used regular fuel in it, but moved up to midgrade, do I need Ultra Premium?

Thanks for any help.

You need to be using 91+ octane. Where is the smoke coming from and what color is it?

If you live in the U.S.A. you can go to a Auto Zone and they can
scan your LR and tell you why the light is on.

Premium fuel only.
Cheaper fuel can make valves stick after that happens it cost about
$2500 to fix it with a valve job.

Best place to start like Landzu said is to have the truck scanned for codes. Bring em back here we can take it from there.

Not gonna jump to conclusions but it sounds like your burning coolant. Which leads me to believe its head job time. Right on schedule too. DI or DII?
