I just like to start with the simple things that don't take any time to check like making sure the transfer case is in gear, rather than assuming the t-case blew up while sitting in the driveway.

The parking brake does lock the rear wheels. Does this indicate a transfer case problem?

You need to start the engine, put it in drive, and have someone watch both drive shafts to see which one is turning. Find the moving drive shaft and then you will find your blowen diff. or axles if the rear and add a bad CV joint also for the front shaft.

no it indicates your rear drive shaft and axle are intact. I'm not being an A$$ but did you make sure that the transfer case was in gear and not in neutral, people tend to freak out when stuff happens and assume the worst. If it is in gear check the front drive shaft.
