Default Help with Collateral Damage

So I finally tackled my plugs/wires replacement on my 04 Disco, the space is tight, it was tougher than I thought it was going to be.

While lying across the engine, I broke one of the connectors coming out of my intake plenum (pic below), described in RAVE as "Rocker cover breather hose connection". I am having trouble finding any details on this connector, is it threaded, is there a common replacement for it or LR specific? I was hoping to get a little more info before trying to remove the part that is stuck in the plenum.

Any help is much appreciated, Thanks!

That would be a PCV valve in any other vehicle, in ours it is just a threaded connector. Your best bet is the dealer.

Default Breather hose connection

Holy Crap!! The dealer wants $91.45 for this little plastic connector! Has anyone found a replacement for this little guy anywhere other than the dealer? I found a similar connector at my local auto parts store, it was metal, had the same 1/4" thread, but the hose barb had a smaller ID.

After closer inspection, it looks like the precious owner epoxied this connector back together (likely to save the 90 bucks), which explains why it broke with such a small amount of pressure.

I had the exact same problem. I went to auto zone bought a tool to thread it and put in a new threaded nipple that fit. about $20.00 with the drill bit to thread it. It has worked fine since. I asked the same question a while back and no one told me it would adversly affect the engine, so I went with it.

I seem to remember breaking mine a few years back, probably when I was doing the plugs. I went to Lowe's or something and bought a brass hose fitting in the plumbing department, it's like a 2 dollar fix.

Been there, done that a year ago. The Home Depot. Brass. Perfect fit and less than $5.

Thanks guys, I knew that not a single person on this board would pay a dealer 90 bucks for this part! I am on my way to Home Depot on my lunch break.
