HELP! (Cruise Control)
So, just to confirm.
If you are already in drive, and then decide to master arm your cruise control, it won't work? before every trip I need to decide whether or not to arm the cruise control? is there any reason I cannot just leave it armed all the time?
Many thanks

Yeah I know... it really threw me for a loop as well. Mine is the same... the relay won't click when the car is in drive. I can tell you the cruise in my Disco works just fine... doesn't matter if the cruise is off before I put in in drive. I can turn the cruise switch on after starting to drive and it works.
Just guessing here but I think it has something to do with a speed sensor that won't let you use the cruise control till you hit 30 mph (everyone says 35 but mine works at 30). Once you hit that speed I'll betcha you'll hear the relay when you switch it on and off.

I almost forgot... don't miss that eBay auction... it closes tomorrow. (item number 330021555632) I was going to bid on it but ended up finding one at a salvage yard. That will save you a ton of money... atlanticbritish.com wants $219.99 and I'm sure the stealer is even more.
