Default Help Died in car wash

went into a auto car wash with just the high pressure nozzels. The truck died in the middle of the car wash I had to put it out. Now when you turn the key the dash lights light up but no crank unless you hold the key in the start position for about 5 sec then it will trun over but it will not start. I check the spark and it's good, I checked the plus at a injector and it's good and I check the fuel pressure at the test port on the fuel rail and no good. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Mark

odds are you either got your ECU (pass side in front of washer bottle) or your windshield is leaky and you got your fuse box wet. Turn the truck to the ON postition for 5 sec, and turn it off. Repeat 5 times and then try to start. Listen for the fuel pump while you are doing this.

If you can work on it, try testing the leads to the pump. There is an easy access in the back of the truck through the floor. Just pull up the carpet in the back and look for the inspection door.

I have changed the fuel pump about 6 months ago so I kinda ruled that out but I will try the key on and off thing five times. My guess is it's wet but I can't seem to see where. I'm a auto tech so I can do most things.

Check the ECU and fuse box. I was just saying that you can check power to the pump and see if the truck is even telling it to turn on.

I had a leak in my windshield and it dripped right onto the fusebox. I could turn the key on and it would start all by itsself after a few seconds. It is relatively easy to remove and inspect.

Before I go too much farther, what year?
