Help greasing my front shaft

Default Help greasing my front shaft

I want to grease my front shaft but I have never used a grease gun , just got one at harbor freight if someone can ge me some detail instructions.

Go buy the best synthetic grease you can find for it. Then before you do anything, crawl under your truck and count how many grease fittings you have on the front drive shaft, should have 3 plus a plug.
By the way, what year is your truck?

Mobile 1 or Green grease are good greases.

It's a 96 D1 It looks in pretty good shape and it has like a redish color to it , I'm going to count the gease fittings

sorry toi drop the level of thread, maybe just because i saw Bruno the movie yesterday, but jeesshhh!! I had a 96 disco one myself. solid car, better than my disco II. didn't have to change u-joints.

Why just the front shaft? If you like the rear shaft as much as your front shaft (and I think you do...) you better lube that one as well.

Well some trucks like it when you stick your thumb in the rear slip shaft zerk hole while you are servicing the front shaft.
