Default HELP PLEASE ! Tire fit w/out lift

I know there have been posts on tire sizes for the 99-04 Discovery but there seems
to be a little inconsistency in what I have seen. I am running the factory 255/55/18
tires and rims. I need to switch to a tire with a bit more off road ability (the Wrangler
HP that are stock are junk...). I am looking at the new Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor
which is getting fantastic reviews, and also the Yokahama Geolander ATs. The Goodyears
I can get in a 265/60/18 which is slightly wider and about 1 1/2 inches bigger in overall diameter.
The Yokahamas are available in 285/60/18 which is obviously wider and about 2.4 inches bigger
in overall diameter. I understand speedometer changes, braking issues, etc. I am wondering who
out there has used either of these sizes and whether you experience ANY rubbing issues on road
or off. I do only moderate offroading and don't expect a ton of wheel travel. I have to purchase
soon so I appreciate any advice you can give. Also, I do pull a 2500 lb. trailer in the summer so there
will be a bit more rear wheel travel as I do not have the rear height control
Thanks everyone!

Your best bet maybe going to the tire store.
Most time they have the +1 and +2 sizes listed in
their books.
And then if the tires do rub you may have a recourse.
