You really need to check the rest of the truck over especially the floor boards, the cargo floor as well as all himges.
Besides for the price the truck should be exceptional and low mileage.
If any more rust show up and the mileages is up around 100,000 that is a $5000 truck at best.

That looks like a very clean "stripe" of rust ... wondering if they had a rocker panel replaced and they forgot to repaint that area

I'm with Mike......even if didn't have any rust, that'sholywood money for a '97. You can buy a truck that's 3-4 years newer for that kind of coin (and probably in better shape).

If the rest of the truck checks out, and you really want it, I'd start by offering half of that asking price.

I paid $2k for mine 2 years ago. Granted, it wasa little rough, but I am with Mike. I think 5 or 6. The interior looks great, though.

looked at numerous D1s, before goingwith a D2. My change of mind was explained by the poor condition of most of the D1s I saw.

All except one D1 that I saw , had the rear door Jamb rusting at this exact spot. It's a weld line.

I bought my 2000 disco with 89,000 on it for $8000 so that seems a little high for price, like everyone else said, bring the price waaay down or look elsewhere for a better deal. But over all the truck looks great Is that one of the limited edition disco's? That could be another reason for the high price but it still shouldn't be that high.
