Default Help Runnuing Rough after overhaul...

2003 LR Discovery II: 137K miles, V8 (4.6 w/ 4.0 Pistons). Just rebuilt engine it had a broken crank. New crank, all bearings, rings, cam bearings, new cam rebuilt heads the normal. Put it all together it ran fine did not even show a code. I washed the engine and the next morning it threw a check engine light. I did not think much about it since I just washed it down. Anyway I get the thing loaded up and on my way. The light started flashing then it started missing- so I parked it thinking I knocked I wire loose.
Today, I removed the upper intake ran through all the wiring and the coils- what a pain, I didn't really find anything wrong- I even checked the injector resistance- all good. I put back together and it ran better but it is for sure not firing on cyl 1 & 7. Checked the plugs all good. Even took the two plugs out attached them to the wires and started engine, Plugs all work as they should.

So what do you guys thinks? Injector plugged up? That is the only thing I haven't removed yet. The resistance is fine.

Are you getting misfire codes for #1 and #7?...or are you pulling plug wires to verify misfire? I'd be suspect of the coil packs or wires, if this all started after washing engine.

I started with heat gun, then pulled wires to get to the 1 & 7. I swapped out the coil packs this morning when I checked it all out. Wires good plugs good. The last two times I fooled with it hour ago and just now both times it started and was running good for about three mins then if would go back to misfire. ANy more ideas? Thanks
