Default Help - what is this hose for and what is this piece?

It's right under my coolant tank, I'm thinking it's the cruise control?

Also, this piece broke. Should I need to replace it ASAP or is it ok to drive with this TEMPORARILY?

The hose and that cable are for the cruise control. Perfectly fine to drive as long as you don't try to use the CC (it won't work anyway).

Isn't the unhooked hose a vacuum line? It goes on the back of that diaphragm where the small nipple is... on the fender side.

Would he not have a vacuum leak with it unhooked? Even if the CC is broken?

No. The CC has its own vacuum pump and isn't connected to any other engine system.

I think it's been broken forever 10abs never bothered to fix my CC.

I was doing a valve cover job and ended up re-wrapping my wires and saw this hanging.

Also, if you got a lift, take all the air out on your front. Easier to work on your engine.
