Hemorrhaging oil from valley pan gasket
So i took my Disco into the shop to have the head gaskets replaced last week. Got it back Saturday. Started to notice a pretty steady oil leak on my driveway. With the help of the former LR2001Silver, i was able to trace the leak to the valley pan gasket.
Since the shop did the work originally , i took it back to them to fix what i believe they didn't repair correctly.
Just to be informed when they call me back, what would cause this? Incorrect gasket placement? Improper torque of the intake?
Im not super mechanically inclined so i'd like to be armed with a little bit of knowledge when they call me to tell me why my recently repaired rover is leaking copious amounts of oil.
If they replace the valley pan gasket, should i also have them double check the heads again while they're in there?
First repair:
Head gaskets replaced.
Heads planed within spec (less than .02 so no spacer required)
Valley pan gasket and associated gaskets replaced
New head bolts
Coolant system back flushed / dexcool replaced with global coolant
Oil changed with 5w/40 Mobil 1
