I have never bench tested an injector but I bet there is plenty of info about it online. If I had to guess I would say apply 12 volts and listen for a click, but this is just a GUESS.

Well, I didn't apply 12 volts, but 9 volts seemed to have worked pretty well. I jumped it, and it clicked, very distinctively. I'm going to check the wiring when it warms up outside. Crap.

You have it apart, swap injectors with a known "good" one, I know it s PIA but you can spend money or time, its up to you.
