ok here we go again i'v had the lifted trucks the lifted suv's the fast fast mustang but now it's time for the lifted rover. i want to go up 3 inches and to 33inch tires maybe bigger... however what lift should i use? what lockers should i use?? why is my abs light on and how can i make it go away? is this thing 4wd or is the 4wd controlled by the abs like my 2000 disco? what else should i do to this thing to make it a serious mud, hill and play toy? how can i get this thing to articulate to a point of dropping a spring???? i want a serious play toy. i want to brake it off weld it up and keep it going. let's hear what you think ....JJ

ps it's a 96 disco

On the lift, not too sure. I will tell you first.....weld a piece of angle iron to the drag link (Bar from the steering box to theright tire.). Mine was bent when I bought it, and I bent a new one. They are about $120 with the ends, so a cheap piece of angle is the way to go. Not too much weight added either.

The ABS light might be the pads/rotors needing changed, or a dirty/faulty wheel sensor. I understand that having it diagnosed by a dealer is the only way to find out. I have a 97 with the light on, and I just haven't messed with it. My Jeep didn't have ABS, so I am used to not having it.

The Disco is full time 4WD the front and rear differentials are not locking. The Diff lock in the center console is only to lock the front and rear drive shafts together. It will not lock the differentials. You can still have 1 tire spinning on each axle. ARB makes air actuated differential lockers that can be used on the front, rear, or both. This might be what you want if you are doing much rock crawling.

Hope some of this helped.
